Heartbroken Shah Rukh Khan Sends An Inspiring Message For Women's Hockey Team After Loss At Tokyo Olympics 2021: 'You All Inspired Everyone In India'
The Indian women's hockey team lost to Great Britain in the bronze medal match. Fans took to social media to express their disappointment as they couldn't make history. Shah Rukh Khan also expressed his heartbreak and shared an inspiring message for the team. He lauded the team for their excellent performance and stated that they inspired everyone in India.

SRK tweeted, "Heartbreak!!! But all reasons to hold our heads high. Well played Indian Women's Hockey Team. You all inspired everyone in India. That itself is a victory." 

Previously, after the team entered semi-finals, SRK had tweeted, reposting coach Sjoerd Marijne's comment about being further delayed because of the team's progress, "Haan haan no problem. Just bring some Gold on your way back.. for a billion family members. This time Dhanteras is also on 2nd Nov. From: Ex-coach Kabir Khan," referring to his role in the Bollywood film Chak De! India."

On the other hand, Sagarika Ghatge, who played the role of state champion Preeti Sabarwal playing for India in Chak De! India, took to Instagram and wrote, "What a spectacular game. You girls are just unreal and to have the whole nation wake up and watch you play against Great Britain and fight hard is the biggest victory for all of us."

Vidya Malavade, who has also been cheering for the team wrote, "You girls are UNREAL & INDIA IS SO SO PROUD OF YOU. What a spectacular game you played! The medals are on their way for sure."
